Registration Medicals

Patients new to the practice are asked to complete a questionnaire prior to their full records arriving. We encourage all new patients to have a health check with our practice nurse.

Diabetic Clinic

This is held on the first three Fridays in the month. We operate a shared care scheme with the local hospitals and are able to offer all our diabetic patients at least one appointment per year. We are proud to have been the first practice in the Warrington area to achieve this!

Asthma Clinic

Please make an appointment with Dr Allen and Sister Liz Wellbelove for the asthma clinic, which is held every Friday afternoon.

Antenatal Care

Every Wednesday from 1.30 - 3.00pm with a midwife.

Contraception

All doctors are happy to provide contraception services; special arrangements are made for fitting the cap. Because of personal religious beliefs Dr Allen feels unable to refer patients for termination.

Cervical Smears

We believe that it is important for women to attend for cervical smear testing. This can be done by either of our practice nurses. Please ask at reception for an appointment as clinic times may change from time to time. Routine checks on blood pressure, urine and blood will be carried out if these seem appropriate.

Well Person Clinic

This health check clinic is run twice weekly by the practice nurse. Please make an appointment if you have not been seen at the surgery during the last three years.

Minor Surgery

Dr Allen and Dr Finigan will provide surgical treatment for appropriate complaints, after initial consultation.

Fees For Medical Examinations Not Covered By NHS

Whilst most medical care and services are free, there are a few items for which payment must be made in accordance with the British Medical Association recommended rates.

These include:

Private Sick Notes
Private Medical Insurance Certificates
Employment Medicals
HGV and Taxi Driver Medicals
Travel Certificates
